Continuous Monitoring and
Adjustment
A series of probes placed at the core, on the surface and
in the air stream, monitor the thawing process. The probes
send information about real-time temperatures to a microprocessor,
which analyses the information, calculates the rate of temperature
rise in the material, and adjusts air temperature and speed
to give the fastest possible thaw rate without exceeding
the predetermined core and surface temperatures.
Storage Mode
Once the process is completed, the unit automatically shifts
into storage mode. The air speed and temperature are reduced
to a point that heat transfer is suspended, enabling equilibration
while holding the material at the proper process temperature
indefinitely and the product is kept at its target temperature
until the unit is opened. Even Temperature
The Quick Thaw Unit assures an even temperature throughout
the product within 0.5°C of the defined temperature.
